On 21 August 2026, the Intelligently Connected Networks Laboratory (ICN Lab), Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), hosted the ACM SIGCOMM 2026 Regional Pod – Hanoi, Vietnam, connecting the Vietnamese networking research community with the ACM SIGCOMM 2026 technical program.

From 08:00 to 12:00, the Vietnam Pod featured six recorded SIGCOMM presentations covering key networking topics, including AI for NextG cellular networks, robustness of AI functionalities under dynamic O-RAN reconfiguration, multimodal semantic communication, in-network serving of long-context large language models, low-altitude 5G connectivity for UAVs, and online traffic engineering.

A major component of the program was the Live Global Q&A session from 09:00 to 10:00, which enabled researchers at the Hanoi Pod to engage directly with the broader SIGCOMM community. The event also provided a local technical forum for researchers from PTIT and other Vietnamese universities to discuss networking system design, AI-native networking, communication performance, and research directions for future network infrastructures.

Hosting the Regional Pod at PTIT strengthens the connection between the Vietnamese networking community, ACM SIGCOMM, and the Computer Networks in Southeast Asia (CNSEA) network. For ICN Lab, the event also supports research activities in intelligent networks, AI-enabled communication systems, O-RAN, UAV networking, and network resource optimization, while providing a platform for developing regional and international research collaboration.
